Fresnel baked pizzas

Most A/V warehouses aren't equipped with kitchens. A fridge and microwave are usually all you get. This can be a problem if your lunch is a frozen pizza that requires baking. Lighting, however, is one thing that A/V warehouses are well equipped with.

Our very own Jeff discovered that a pair of 2000w fresnels work almost as well as a real oven. It's kind of like Easy-Bake on steroids. Two fixtures, placed above and below a metal pan, heat the frozen pizza enough to bake it, and, of course, a gobo holder makes an appropriate spatula.

The pizza, according to Jeff, wasn't quite as crispy as a real oven baked pizza, but it was still good enough to eat. "It actually turned out pretty good," Jeff said.

I've always said the only thing fresnels are good for is keeping fries warm, but now we know they can cook a pizza.
